Overview

The Poe Tarot features the whimsical and, at times, macabre black-and-white illustrations by mixed-media artist/author Trisha Leigh Shufelt and quotes from the literary works and thoughts of Edgar Allan Poe. Images are directly inspired by such classics as The Raven, Annabel Lee, The Masque of the Red Death, and many more while utilising traditional Tarot archetypes. The Poe Tarot follows Poe as the main character, navigating through the Fool's journey while diving deep into the subconscious realms to unveil what only he can through the wisdom of his works and the teachings of the Tarot. AUTHOR: Trisha Leigh Shufelt is a self-taught artist from New England. The Poe Tarot is her second full-length Tarot deck and combines her love of illustration with the literary works of Edgar Allan Poe. Her first deck, the HeARTful Spirtis Tarot, was the winner of two International Tarot Foundation CARTA Awards. Trisha is also a Reiki master and a breast cancer survivor. While she works in a variety of mediums and her art continues to evolve, it is her love of the Tarot that currently influences her creativity. SELLING POINTS: . The literary works of Edgar Allan Poe combine with the Tarot to form a uniquely whimsical and macabre deck . Perfect for lovers of Poe and those who appreciate distinctively original Tarot . Poe himself features prominently on many of the cards and is a central character on the Fool's journey 78 art cards
