Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite--5 stars Daisy, Sage's dog, turned into a unicorn after she got into Sage's magical marshmallow slime and spilled Fizzle Flakes and rainbow sprinkles all over herself. Sage wanted some more of those amazing flakes and her mom told her Fizzle Flakes were rare because they were gathered by the pixies from shooting stars that had fizzled out and fallen to earth. Her mother used them to become small and grow wings because she was a part-time tooth fairy. Sage was excited to know her mom was a tooth fairy. She wanted to know how they could get more flakes. Her mom needed more of those flakes because there were a lot of loose teeth in town. They took some supplies and hopped onto Daisy and flew up high. They landed upon the tip of the nearby mountain and hiked up. The Fizzle Valley was beautiful and colorful and they collected Fizzle Flakes. They all shrank and grew wings once the Fizzle Flakes dissolved. They met her mom's fairy friend, Grace, who took them to the hidden fairy cottage. They saw a pixie looking at them from the window. Pixies liked to spy on part-time fairies to make sure they were doing their jobs. What happened when they were trying to fly off? Would they be able to get away safely? My Mom the Fairy: Fizzle Fun Book 2 by Misty Black is a fantastical adventure filled with whimsy and enchantment and will captivate all young readers who love fairies, fun, and magic.
