He has published 155 books - including the best-selling The Photographer's Eye for Ilex Press - with four million copies sold. Of his published books, 78 are on the practice of photography, published in 28 languages. He wrote the degree course on photography for the UK's Open College of Arts, and has won several awards for his educational work.
