He operates a private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, where he provides counseling/psychotherapy and related services to clients of various backgrounds. He developed the Parenting for Divorce curriculum, which is one of the programs that is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families and it is mandatory for divorcing parents in the state of Florida and those who are involved in paternity actions. He also provides instruction for children of divorce utilizing the internationally-acclaimed Sandcastles and other approaches. Dr. Ricketts is a graduate of Virginia Tech, Nova Southeastern University and Argosy University.
