At that time his family was still farming with horses but soon moved 'out west' to Sweet Home, Oregon. Bob eventually found his way to the Vanderhoof area in the north central interior of British Columbia, Canada, in 1961, where the major part of this story takes place. His story is told with humour and clarity of the issues he faced and the many characters he met. His descriptive phrases bring the story to life and give it depth. After 40 years of logging and farming Bob has now retired to Clearwater, B.C. with his wife, Joan, where they enjoy the country lifestyle, and are close to their children and grandchildren.
