In the realm of Arcadia, Earth is a myth. The ancestors of the people living there fled from the ancient Roman Empire long ago, but no one can find that anymore, no matter how much they explore the realm. The older teenagers are taught the age-old riddle at Higher Learning. Janet of the Blue Flame is a citizen of Arcadia, of The Triple Cities. Amos is a veteran author/artist that has kept it going for over fifty years. He started early and kept going in spite of numerous hurdles on his path. He has published twenty-nine books. In addition to being an author he's a de facto multiartist, a musician, photographer, actor, director and all art forms under the moon, really. He's a radical political activist, an autonomous agent of change, working to change society in major ways to a place where true freedom, justice and equality reign, where people are aware of humanity's ancient connection to nature and act on it. He feels like he has just started out and that there is much more to do, many more miles to go before he sleeps.
