OverviewFalk by Joseph Conrad is a story of the protagonist who confesses his crime. He holds back a dreadful secret that restricts his ability to live life to the fullest. This is another work by Conrad that depicts human psychology and unravelling events of the contemporary era. This is another fine piece by Joseph Conrad. The characters and the frame of the story had the potential for a longer work, but the revelation of Falk's secret drew the elements more comfortably into a shorter form. There are four obvious peaks in the story and they have all the Conrad's tension you could hope for, especially the first three.
