Author Information

Jim Perry is a Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of San Diego, School of Business. He is the author of over sixty-five textbooks and trade books. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in mathematics from Purdue University. Richard Newmark is a Professor of Accounting in the Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado. He is the author or co-author of over a dozen articles and three dozen presentations on accounting information systems, teaching pedagogy, distance learning, technology in the classroom, and taxation. Rick is has served on the Board of the AIS Educators Association for the past six years and is currently Research Committee Chair for the American Accounting Association's Strategic and Emerging Technology Section. He holds a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida. Rick has worked as a CPA for international and local CPA firms prior to entering academia.
