According to the World Health Organization, one-third of the global population lacks access to essential medicines. Lisa Forman is the Lupina Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the director of the Comparative Program on Health and Society at the University of Toronto. Jillian Clare Kohler is a professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and the director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Governance, Transparency, and Accountability in the Pharmaceutical Sector at the University of Toronto.
