Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationAlessandro Molle is a senior researcher at the CNR-IMM, unit of Agrate Brianza, Italy, where he carried out his postdoc fellowship after his Ph.D. and M.Sc. at the University of Genoa. He has been chairing M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses at the University of Milan-Bicocca and he coedited a book (CRC Press) on 2D materials for nanoelectronics. He is the principal investigator of an ERC Consolidator Grant 2017, and has been in charge of national and international grants. His main research interests are on 2D Xenes and transition metal dichalcogenides, and their device applications to nanotechnology. On these topics, he has been a symposium organizer at the E-MRS and MRS meetings. Carlo Grazianetti received his Ph.D. degree from the Università degli Studi Milano-Bicocca, Italy, in 2014, defending a thesis on the scanning tunneling microscopy investigation of III–V semiconductors and new 2D nanolattices. He is currently a research scientist at the CNR-IMM unit of Agrate Brianza, Italy. His interdisciplinary research expertise covers 2D materials beyond graphene and their applications for nanoelectronics and nanophotonics. Since 2011, he has been involved as key investigator of molecular beam epitaxy and scanning probe microscopy tasks in EU projects focused on the synthesis and integration into devices of Xenes (silicene, germanene, stanene, and phosphorene).
