This Devotional is very well presented to the young girl. It is written in such a personal and understanding way as the author speaks directly to the child with the wisdom of an adult who has not forgotten what it was like to be a child. Eileen Nyberg takes the girl through 120 days in ten sections of scripture, a short personalized story that relates to the Bible verse and then a nightly prayer that often asks the child to add a personal touch to it. The sections include: God Is an Amazing Creator; that tells of all the wonderful and wondrous things God has made just by speaking it. You Were Made by God; in this section the girls are reminded that they were made by God and they have special gifts to make the world a better place. They are reminded that God gives individuality to everything and everyone, including themselves and therefore they are special. You Were Made for a Relationship with God; This section drives home the fact that the girl has a connection to God, and that doesn't go away. She is reminded that when she senses she is drifting apart from God, all she needs to do is walk toward him. Be joyful and sing when happy. When you've done something wrong, ask for forgiveness. This is a beautiful and wonderful devotional. Eileen effortlessly connects with the girls on their level, teaching and guiding them to a fulfilling and loving relationship with God. - Melissa (Amazon) This is a precious book to introduce God to the little girl in your life. The author discusses God's creation, God's purpose for their life, and their relationship with God (just to name a few topics covered). This study is intended to be used at bedtime and concludes each day with a bedtime prayer. I love how simple the author explains the topics. I do; however, find that some of the lessons are set up where they might be better fitted for a younger child. I believe it is important to teach our children from an early age about God, and this is a perfect tool for the little girl in your life. - Jennifer ( Amazon) This devotional is wonderfully written, and it is easy to understand. I liked that this book was written simply and the fact that it is short, as it wouldn't be too long or boring for young girls to read either on their own or with a parent. Each chapter ends with a bedtime prayer, which is a great way to introduce praying. It's an amazing introduction to devotionals for young girls. - Queenie (Amazon) First of all, I'm glad to say this is such a sweet book for young girls! Some guides meant for children can come off as boring or too dry to keep your little ones' attention, but with the metaphors and way the author explains ideas and important morals/messages it really is made to captivate and keep their attention! For example, when going through the message of how our beautiful world was created and the impact of water and the earth, the author takes the time to carefully explain and give an example of baking cookies. Meaning there was certain steps purposefully carried out to eventually receive a completed work! Overall, my seven year old niece has been loving this study guide, as it's simple way of explaining makes learning easy to understand and enjoyable. - Ariana Cast (Amazon)
