OverviewLaw governing woman rights in African countries is a complex framework that requires exploration. For instance, women inheritance law governing some parts of Nigeria gives little or no right for women to claim ownership of their deceased husband which pose risk on the mental, emotional and social well-being of such women. There has been several books written as a result of many cases of women suffering after the death of their husband in African.
