Love, today, almost sounds like a trope. I could park it in some lazy corner of my heart. Where it wouldn't need a lot of watering and sunshine to stay alive. I could wear love, once in a while- when I am in the mood for it. More so on weekends or holidays or socials. On other days, I have mightier things, such as attitude and perseverance, resting on my purposeful shoulders. Where is the time for love? I argue. Endlessly. But the faint voice inside my head reminds me, once in a while. You don't need the kind of love that had a thousand ships sailing. Or the kind of love where five men betrothed one woman. All you need is the kind of love, that could simply sit by your side, holding your pain gently, while you continue to heal. Winds of Desire is a short collection of love poems through the lens of the author's love life. In the end it's all about love.
