Author Information

Tim Jones has lived in Alaska for more than thirty years. In that time he has been a newspaper and magazine editor, a tour boat operator, commercial fisherman and oil-spill response consultant, had a few sailing adventure, and has spent time living in the Bush. His work has appeared widely in magazines and is the author of several books with Alaska themes including the bestseller The Last Great Race and Keep the Round Side Down. In the forty years that Tom Walker has resided in Alaska, he as worked as a conservation officer, wilderness guide, wildlife technician, log home builder, documentary film advisor, and adjunct professor of journalism at the Homer Branch, University of Alaska, Anchorage. Now a full-time freelance writer and photographer specializing in natural history and wildlife, Walker is one of Alaska's premier photographers.
