Overview

Sixteen-year-old Korrian is struggling with depression and anger after watching his best friend's death in a tragic car accident on live television. Diffident and a touch rebellious, he encounters the ghost of a dead girl who challenges and supports him as he bonds with a new circle of friends over a newfound interest in music. Just as his life seems to be going the way he would like it, including winning the affection of the enigmatic but dreamy Aisley, everything is shattered by a car accident of his own. Korrian blames himself while the girl of his dreams teeters on the brink of death with only a ghost and an enemy for company. Assumptions, prejudices, and perspectives clash in this engaging tale of forgiveness, compassion, and self-discovery.

Reviews

Fast paced and emotionally laden, this book is well written and has a powerful message, that we are never truly alone, even when we are at the end of our tether, when we can't see anything good to look forward to, there is always someone there for us. Julie Oakley, Bookish Intoxication I enjoyed this book. It had something eerie and dark, and still managed to give a beautiful voice to support mental and emotional health. Hallie F., Reader It's the book I needed when I was in high school, and I'm sure there are other teens who would need it as well. Catherine Solis, Cat the book lover This book was very sweet, and deals with issues of depression, guilt, and grief in a way that was very real. Jodie Crump, Witty and Sarcastic Book Club Romance, family, ghosts, ...what's not to like?...I really enjoyed this book. Laurie T., Reader
