Compelled to write on the challenging things of life in poetic form. I draw on experiences of my everyday walk with Christ. There have been many ups and downs, learning curves, mistakes, bad situations, misunderstandings, loss of self-esteem and other various things we all face as Christians. These Poems can inspire, challenge and encourage the reader to take heart when faced with difficult situations. It's an honest account of the many tests and trials I face and then working through the changes I had to make. Putting aside self and choosing God and His word instead. This is where the rubber meets the road.

Sharlie Pickering was born in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) but lived most of her adult life in Melbourne, Australia. Her love of poetry goes back to her Colonial up bringing in Ceylon. Her love of the old English poets inspired her to write poetry from a young age.Through a dark period of her life, she stumbled on the God factor. During this time the negative experiences wove its way deep into her heart and poetry. Sharlie now lives in Brisbane. Her life changing conversion has found her working with marginalized people in her community and Indigenous Australians in the outback. Sherlie is also an abstract Artist.
