While teaching public school he earned a Masters Degree in Education with a specialization in Technology Integration in the Classroom. Mr. Brooks taught math, science, health education, anatomy and physiology at the public school levels, grades 6-12. As a public school teacher, he wrote and published a number of works, and spoke at national education conferences and gave university lectures on the topics of violence prevention and conflict resolution in school, teacher leadership, classroom management, teacher education, curriculum and instruction, and health education advocacy.
