OverviewA watercolor picture book intended to help guide our children to answer the difficult question of what the afterlife might entail. While there are many beliefs of what could be, in the end, nobody really knows. I wanted a book to help my daughter ask and answer the difficult questions about life and death to discuss the concepts together. I tried to incorporate almost every belief from the most significant religions and nonreligious ideas. Most importantly, I want her and other children to remember that no matter what happens after we die, we can continue to live in each other's thoughts, dreams, and memories. In essence, love can last forever. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Kelsey B Reynolds , Kelsey B Reynolds , Kelsey B ReynoldsPublisher: Badgerbooks Imprint: Badgerbooks Edition: 2nd ed. Table of ContentsReviews"Kelsey does an amazing job of pulling the reader in with her illustrations and prose, highlighting the different schools of thought from many religions and cultures, as well as opening a much need safe space for dialogue with children regarding death. Wether it's death of a family member, a pet, or a friend at school, it can be very scary for children to feel the void that death brings. This book opens up that space to address the feelings and wonders that come with loss. I recommend it to all my friends who have children, as well as adults who are experiencing loss and have never explored what that might mean. Nice work Kelsey! This book does a good job of introducing various beliefs while addressing a difficult topic. I loved getting this book to read to my kids for when the questions of death come up! It has the most beautiful pictures and the best meaning no matter what your beliefs for after life are! 10/10 recommend always Trying to understand what happens to us after we die can be scary and stressful. This book reminds us that no matter what, our life is precious and we should live our life to the fullest. Focusing on the positive and letting your child or the reader know they are loved. The art is also VERY beautiful. Get this book!! An all inclusive look at death in a positive light! The illustrations are vibrant yet soothing. This book is for anyone who loves their littles! I love the beautiful illustrations and the poem lines exploring what is beyond our lives. It's simple enough that a small kiddo will understand - but profound. Great job! Amazing discussion of ""death and dying."" As a cardiologist I'm all to familiar with the challenge of losing a loved one. This book is as appropriate for a child as it is for an adult. It's a difficult topic to discuss with anybody. We can all ""hope"" for what comes after, but do we really knows? What a lovely book to foster curiosity and love rather than fear around death. The illustrations are breathtaking, and the message simple and clear: we all get to experience the adventure of dying, but first, life! Fill it with love The illustrations and message of this book is easy to understand and beautifully portrayed. Highly recommend! What a darling book of questions and fabulous illustrations. I love the clever inclusion of so many belief systems. I love that it makes a situation that is sad into something that can be just a bit happier."
