The topics are often what children feel but don't know how to say. Great addition to your book collection! Hollie, 5-star Amazon Review A lovely collection of poems which children and adults can enjoy. These poems touch on life as a child are parent of a child. I especially love the poem about animals which addresses the issue of trying to figure out what noises some animals actually make (a giraffe for example). This would be a fun addition to your personal library Emily, 5-star Amazon Review My seven-year-old loves this book. I have it on my iPad so the illustrations are great. The title poem When I was a Grown-up is a little girl explaining why she has chosen to stay little -- because of all the stuff that happened when she was a grown up. It's a clever premise and could make its own book. Tracey, 5-star Amazon Review I love children's poems! This little book is full of fun, fresh poems about everyday life (stinky brothers, making animal noises, reading a book on the toilet). Great pictures complete the experience! I think my favorites are Glue and Stinky Brothers (which has amazingly abundant alliteration!) Josette, 4-star Goodreads Review -Very cute collection of funny poems! Kids love these. She has been an avid reader since childhood, and still prefers young adult books to any other out there, except maybe Jane Austen. Tevin Hansen is the author of numerous books and short stories. When he isn't skateboarding, or reading half a dozen books simultaneously, he enjoys chasing his two small children around the house while singing horrendous versions of children's songs.
