Overview

You are under attack! We are living in an age where anxiety is rampant and in the Christian life the Bible warns that the devil is like a roaring lion looking for his next victim. One of his key tactics is to attack your faith in God by producing fear. Fear left unchecked produces a flight response creating anxiety leading to panic attacks. Dr. Robert Bakss has had 24 years of personal experience with mental illness as he has supported his wife, Jenny, in her struggle with Bipolar Disorder. He is no stranger to the effects of anxiety and panic attacks and has helped his wife and many others manage and overcome the debilitating effects of anxiety. Anxiety and panic attacks are the unwelcome visitors many of us can do without. The dread of having an attack is an awful feeling and often compounds the problem. At times coming out of seemingly nowhere, panic attacks transform the ordinary world of everyday life into a nightmare of anxiety and suffering. Dr. Bakss biblically addresses this issue and provides theological and practical strategies to deal with anxiety.

As the unprecedented epidemic of fear and anxiety threaten to destroy our peace of mind, we as a society are left reeling and desperate for answers, practical strategies and hope for freedom. Dr. Robert Bakss provides all three in his new book What to do when Panic Attacks , in which he discusses the physiological, psychological, emotional and spiritual applications for our lives. Dr. Bakss outlines a comprehensive, wholistic approach to dealing with fear and anxiety, equipping sufferers with tools to overcome this issue in their life. Whether you deal with this dilemma personally or you know someone who does, this book is MUST read for everyone! Mark and Lesley Henry ANCHOR Support Group Ministry As a Psychotherapist, many of the clients I see, suffer with varying degrees of anxiety. Some feel trapped and in bondage to this condition not knowing how to escape. Mental health experts in addressing this epidemic, using various methods of treatment, fail to address this condition from a Biblical perspective. This can leave some clients enslaved to this condition believing there is no way of escape and prone to suffer relapse. Using his extensive Biblical knowledge and insight, Dr. Robert Bakss has skilfully taken God's Word to shed light and provide practical steps that will help professionals and lay people understand the root cause and help sufferers overcome anxiety. This is not just another book on anxiety, it is a practical workbook, a Biblical reference guide and a user manual that can help sufferers overcome this condition successfully.
