'Substantive, ' Brad's book is that. I've known Brad since his sophomore year at Nebraska and watched his progress from a freshman in the basics of discipleship to a model disciplemaker of Jesus. Brad deals with the major matters of life in a fast, page-turning style. It's practical for any serious student of Scripture, whether he be on campus or in Congress. Study this book. Let its words transform you. Who knows what God might do through you. Jim Hiskey, former PGA golfer, cofounder of the C. S. Lewis Institute, and author of Winning Is a Choice The thoughts and stories in What I Wish I Knew in My 20s reverberate with insights on faith, growth, and friendship. These messages of faith, love, and courage spur reengagement with the world around us and shed light on topics I wish I'd known more about in my twenties. Steve Largent, NFL Hall of Famer and four-term US Congressman Brad and I have been friends for better than twenty-five years. We have shared a kindred spirit for working with men young and old to think about leadership and the thoughts of Jesus. Whether from our homeland in the Midwest or from the nation's capital, we have together witnessed lives changed for the better. I am strongly invested in the principles on which Brad expounds. Clyde Lear, founder, Learfield Communications Over the past decade I've watched Brad Olsen disciple young men in the person of Jesus, guiding them through the various areas of life, which are both talked about regularly and, especially, those areas that are not. Now Olsen, who is an award-winning editor and former journalist, puts his hard-earned lessons on life and leadership on paper for all to read and examine. Let Olsen's What I Wish I Knew in My 20s serve as the foundation for future generations of young men searching how to grow into the leader and man that Jesus intended. Andrew Marin, PhD, award-winning author of Love Is an Orientation, Our Last Option, and Us versus Us Brad's concern for the youth goes beyond the borders of North America to all the continents including Africa where he has inspired many people, including me. He has helped me found a college prep high school in Malawi to prepare students to be leaders not just of tomorrow but of today. I have learned, and continue to learn, a great deal from his leadership based on Jesus of Nazareth. Joe Mtika, PhD, president and CEO, Norfolk Schools in Malawi Inc. Brad Olsen has spent most of his life working with Christian ministry on Capitol Hill. His experiences working with interns and members of Congress tell a very different story about life in our nation's Capitol than what most people hear and read. Brad is very well versed in Scripture and does a wonderful job of relating how Scripture impacts the lives of those with whom he comes in contact. I recommend his book without reservation. It will be enlightening and inspirational to the reader. Dr. Tom Osborne, Nebraska football coach, College Football Hall of Fame, three-term US Congressman, cofounder of Teammates with wife Nancy
