Table of ContentsReviews"Praise for God at Work: ""Whether it's pointing out that the Bible is more 'fleshly' than 'spiritual' or sharing a personal story so that we experience the Christ present in all our stories, here is a preacher who somehow really teaches without being boring and tells personal stories without distracting from our own stories. Bruce Taylor's voice is subtle, comforting, intelligent, and conversational."" --Richard Lawson, dean, Saint John's Cathedral Praise for Between Advents: ""These fine sermons are evidence of a dedicated and very able homilist. They bring together a significant group of Scriptural settings, combined with Jesus's message for then and now. Bruce Taylor is a fine writer and storyteller, skilled at weaving together the lectionary passages of the day. These sermons provide a helpful model for those tasked with preaching Sunday after Sunday. I warmly recommend them."" --John Ambrose, managing editor of Voices United" Praise for God at Work: Whether it's pointing out that the Bible is more 'fleshly' than 'spiritual' or sharing a personal story so that we experience the Christ present in all our stories, here is a preacher who somehow really teaches without being boring and tells personal stories without distracting from our own stories.
