Her Caribbean childhood nurtured her love of family, which influenced her writing of this book when she learned she was going to be a grandmother for the first time by her only child. Ms. Moseley Cummings deeply believes that all children need to be loved and to feel loved. The love and lessons she imparted to her son live on in this love letter to her grandchild. Joe Eckstein is the illustrator of over fifteen books for children, including Herby Gets a Life, which he also authored. Drawing and writing stories since he can remember, he grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and has worked as an illustrator for a leading children's education publisher. Joe currently lives in Florida and is married to the love of his life, Kristen.
