Violet Oaklander (1927-2021) obtuvo un doctorado en Psicologia y dos grados de maestria: uno en Orientacion Matrimonial, Familiar e Infantil, y otro en Educacion Diferencial de nin~os emocionalmente afectados y con trastornos de aprendizaje. Fue directora del Centro de Terapia para Nin~os y Adolescentes de Hermosa Beach, California, y fue directora del Instituto Violet Oaklander, dedicado a la supervision y entrenamiento de personas que trabajan con nin~os. Se entren en el Instituto de Terapia Gestaltica de Los Angeles y fue miembro oficial de este desde 1973. Violet Oaklander received her doctorate in psychology as well as two master's degrees. She was the director of the Therapy Center for Children and Adolescents in Hermosa Beach, California, and was the director of the Violet Oaklander Institute, dedicated to the supervision and training of people who work with children. She trained at the Los Angeles Institute of Gestalt Therapy and has been an official member since 1973.
