This a summary of the journey of this book The Uyoma Heroes Thuondi who are listed here below are Uyoma people known as Jo-Uyoma who made significant contributions or great achievements that benefitted Jo-Uyoma and hence humanity. The gladiators are great warriors, skilled fighters who laid their lives in various battle fields to defend Jo-Uyoma, their wives and children, their property and the ancestral land. Most of the gladiators left behind no families of their own. Instead they left evalasting cultural heritage.

Lwande Oneko is a graduate from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters in Entrepreneurship Development from the University of Illinois. He started his working life in entrepreneurship as a manufacturer, processing salt and coffee roasting, a venture which he managed for ten years under Kenya Industrial Estates. In the 1980s he ventured into full time Capacity Consultancy career starting with KIM Kenya Institute of Management and then other Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) Consulting Organizations His consultancy assignments have exposed him to the rural and urban areas of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Mediterranean. The areas of Consultancy include curriculum development and Training of Trainers and Entrepreneurs among others.
