Two fundamental devastating effects of African American slavery on today's struggling Black Americans stem from the Slaves' Brain Switch and their Philosophical Disconnections from African Tradition. At the moment the fishnet was thrown over free Africans in Africa their Thriving brain thinking automatically switched to their here and now survival and self-preservation Emergency Brain thinking. Being face-to-face with evil and sadistic European captors throughout slavery and thereafter meant the Slaves and ex-Slaves permanently thought out of their Emergency Brains. The Brain Switch + Philosophical Disconnections + loss of African 5Ss (safety, security, sureness, strength, and stability) + brainwashing thereby fashioned in the Slaves: (1) Delusions (believing the opposite of the Truth); (2) self-defeating mindsets; (3) the shift from Spiritual Energy powering their daily living activities to Emotional Energy; and (4) fighting back via Slave Resistance and Selfhood Armor. These Mindset patterns, as if locked in mental vaults, persist in today's afflicted Black American boys and display as Self-Defeating Habits. This book's purpose is to provide ways for Mentors to bond with and persuasively motivate struggling Black boys to unlock and free their encaged minds; to reverse their Self-Defeating mindsets and practices; and to get on the path to their Mission in life.
