His research interests are in urban and regional development and policies, innovations and asylum-related migration. He has published widely on asylum-related migration in the Middle East and Europe. His publications include “Innovations for Development in Africa” (with Lauri Hooli). Dr. Miriam Tedeschi is a researcher at the University of Turku (Finland). She is an ethnographer, and her research draws on various lines of thought, such as information theory, irregular migration, public and (security) policies.
