Overview

"In July 2021, Akwi Nji destroyed almost all of her writing from the 25 years. Digital files were permanently deleted and hard copies were recycled into her own visual art. This collection includes a handful of poems that survived that ""cleansing"" and adaptations of writing for film and audio recordings of poetry and music. Her award-winning writing has historically been intended to be experienced aurally. This is her inaugural book."

"Akwi Nji is a U.S-based interdisciplinary artist and communications strategist creating in words, voice, and visual art. Her work has appeared in a variety of forms from California's wine country to New York's fashion week. Her collaborative partners include Emmy award-winning composers and nationally-renowned choreographers. Her professional background is in PK-12 education, communication strategy, brand storytelling, marketing, and arts administration. Over the course of more than 20 years, Akwi has developed a professional career that harnesses the power of creativity and strategy to inspire and empower others to achieve their goals. Her integration of the arts and corporate communication results in a wide variety of projects and products, some of which live in the traditional world of art and others in the world of ""corporate"" marketing, public relations, and communications. The branding projects Akwi has spearheaded over the years have earned more than 30 national awards.
