Reviews

Robin Anderson's well-trained eye and lyrical voice bring us a gorgeous re-imagining of the Carl Sandburg National Historical Site. Her years of experience at the site allow her to plan for and capture fleeting moments that most visitors can only imagine. Happily, those imagined moments are available to all of us-from majestic landscapes to intimate portraits of flowers...and of course the goats! By turns breathtaking and delightful, Anderson has crafted the photographic collection we all want to bring home in order to share this wonderful site with others. - James Engelhardt, Author of Bone Willows: Poems

Author Information

Robin Anderson fostered creativity and artistic expression in the lives of her children and those she encountered as a counselor for many years. Originally from nearby Asheville, NC she moved to Flat Rock in 2015 and almost immediately discovered The Carl Sandburg Home as a unique setting to nurture her own growth as an artist and individual. She views her photography as an opportunity to include readers in her own unique moments of discovery and insight into its natural and historic beauty. Along with her companions on the trails she has found the site to be truly an Uncommon Sanctuary.
