OverviewPeople around the world finally have the chance to read the fascinating life story of a legend of his time, world renowned Master Tsutomu Ohshima [born in Nagasaki 1930] Master Ohshima began Martial Arts training when he was 3 years old, practicing Sumo, Judo, and Kendo, and from age 18 [1948] practicing Karate at Waseda University under the direct guidance of Master Gichin Funakoshi. Master Funakoshi was the first Karateka to introduce Karate in Tokyo at the beginning of the 1920s. In 1955, in turn, Master Ohshima was first to introduce and teach Karate in the United States, a few years later in France and eventually worldwide. Readers can enjoy the amazing stories, some of which have never been told, while at the same time reading and learning about the deep meaning of The way of the warrior and sometimes more specific and important guidelines. Readers who hold a high level of any kind of Martial Art and/or have long time experience can glean very unique and deep information, which can usually be understood only after reaching a certain level in their Martial Art. One should probably read the book few times in order to understand the full meaning of certain teachings and guidelines, which are sometimes part of the stories and sometimes are presented as teaching material.
