Overview

Jacques Sentier was born on the day of the Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815. He had a very special experience. Saved from the murderous exactions of the English horsemen who were scouring the country, he was taken in by an old woman who did everything she could to protect him. From trials to obstacles, experiencing joys and sorrows, Jacques, accompanied by his friend Emina, goes through - and participates in - the revolutions of 1830 and 1848. From Louis XVIII to the coup d'etat of Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, the book keeps you on the edge of your seat during the first half of the eventful 19th century.
