Jonathan gets invited to America to sign the contract and finalise the deal. However before he can do so he suddenly disappears, a new president is appointed to the company, the contract is changed and the future of the project is in disarray. Enter Altair Maia. He has a strong reputation as a specialist economic adviser on African business and he gets invited to Burkina Faso. His job; to investigate the changes, find out what happened to Jonathan Makeba and save the project from being abandoned. During his journey he sees first hand the level of corruption and how evil forces stop Africa from developing. Author Information

Altair de Sousa Maia is an economist at the University of Brasilia in Brazil, specializing in overseas commerce. He is the author of 9 books. For ten years he worked at the Ministries of Overseas Affairs and Trade and Commerce in Brazil. He has taught at the Catholic University of Brasilia, in UNEB (The Educational Union of Brazil), and in the School of Commercial Administration of the Ministry of Work. As a professional liberal and consultant, he has undertaken many diverse projects connected with imports and exports. He has taken part in trade fairs and commercial missions in a number of countries, principally in Europe, the Americas and Africa. Today he works as an international consultant, specializing in African affairs, and lectures in many universities and other establishments, both in Brazil and other countries.
