Students entering Senior High School often do so with reservation and trepidation; this is a crucial step for any child. Children may feel fearful and anxious about going to a new school and a new environment. There will be new students and new teachers they will get to know. Students will take more subjects than they were taking in Junior High School. The objective of this book is to help the grade 10 student settle as quickly as possible, so he/she can be about the business of learning. Every school age child in Senior High School, in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, from Inagua in the south to Grand Bahama in the north, can benefit from using this book. The activities are designed in a way that in the absence of a Guidance Counselor, the student, with the help of the Homeroom teacher, Family Life teacher, and parent can still use the materials in this book.
