Klaas Spronk, Ph.D. (1986), is Professor of Old Testament at the Protestant Theological University, Amsterdam. He has published monographs and many article and edited volumes on Bible translation, biblical theology and the exegesis of Joshua, Judges, and minor prophets. Hans M. Barstad, born in 1947. Dr. Theol., Oslo; DD, Edinburgh. Professor of Hebrew Bible and Old Testament Studies Oslo (1986-2005) and Edinburgh (2006-2014). Published extensively on Hebrew Bible and Ancient Near Eastern topics. Membership of many learned societies and numerous editorial boards. Most important authored books: The Religious Polemics of Amos (1984); A Way in the Wilderness (1989); The Myth of the Empty Land (1996); The Babylonian Captivity of the Book of Isaiah (1997); History and the Hebrew Bible (2008).
