Overview"Edward Judd's second book, ""Three Music Stories From Maine"" features three stories that take place in the Pine Tree state. Unlike his first book, a memoir ""View From the Podium"", these three novellas are fictional. The main character in each story is, or will become, a music teacher. -SOULMATE LOST Phillip, as a young child through his adulthood, has a recurring dream about a girl that he comes to regard as his Soulmate. It never occurs to him that he may meet her in real life. -WHITECAPS OF EVERGREEN LAKE Evan, a music teacher, wants to buy the family cottage on Evergreen Lake from his stepmother. His plan becomes more complicated when his teaching position is jeopardized due to budget cuts, as well as dealing with a familial crisis. -TRANSITIONS OF A BAND DIRECTOR At first, Eric has to make changes in his teaching style due to COVID. He realizes his declining health problems are causing him to make major adjustments in his life, and those life changes do not coincide with his love for teaching. In creating these stories, Mr. Judd has drawn upon the experiences and observations of his 46 years in music education. In a way, the stories mirror to a degree his personal sense of place and profession."
