OverviewSince the foundation of the Society for Psychical Research more than twenty-three years ago, a great mass of more or less well-evidenced material has been published upon subjects such as THOUGHT-TRANSFERENCE, CRYSTAL GAZING, GHOSTS, MEDIUMSHIP, PHYSICAL PHENOMENA and other so-called occult manifestations. There have - notwithstanding the unquestioned great public interest in these subjects-been but few attempts to sum up the evidence and make it available for the ordinary citizen who cannot find time to read the whole of the thirty volumes published by the Society.
