Overview

"""This isn't a book. It's a smooch in disguise. (Just because you're my absolute favorite--that's why.) It's a smooch that just perfectly brightens your day. I want you to know I designed it that way."" This may look like a book, but it's really a peck you get to plant on your sweetie, even when you can't give one in person. It's a smooch you can tuck into their suitcase when they're going on a big trip or send by mail if they live far apart. Playful illustrations of squirrel sweethearts and fun-loving rhymes help you tell your partner how special they are to you. This book is packed with kisses that never wear out and love your sweetheart can feel every time they open the pages. Features an embossed hardcover with UV gloss."

Author Information

M.H. Clark is a poet and writer who has received multiple awards, including the Washington State Book Award and two Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. She has traveled the world and lived in many wonderful places--but she believes she belongs most of all in a little house with a large library, someplace where the forest meets the sea. Katie Vernon is an illustrator who spent most of her life in the Midwest but whose heart belongs in the mountains. Much of her creative inspiration comes from being a florist, working with alpacas, and living on a bus. She loves working with inky paints and then arranging and adding detail digitally. Katie's art has appeared in Anthropologie, Hallmark, and the Washington Post.
