Krista McDivitt has many years experience teaching visual art and writing with children ages 9 to 17. She has been teaching since 2011 and was is now a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program at Western University. Krista's academic focus has been on the educational benefits of authentic writing, as well as the empowering impact of student publishing. Krista is a professional artist, illustrator, and author of both academic texts and children's books. Michael Slobodian has many years of teaching experience both locally and internationally. His passion for education and writing has led him to write and publish many books, both with his students and independently. Before teaching, Michael worked as a scientist after studying invertebrate zoology. This experience allows for unique perspectives to the artistic and creative writing process.
