Susan Goldin-Meadow is the Beardsley Ruml Distinguished Service Professor in the department of psychology and on the Committee on Human Development, both at the University of Chicago. The winner of the 2021 Rumelhart Prize in cognitive science, she is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She lives in Chicago. Jean Ann Douglass is a performer, a playwright, an audiobook narrator, and a writer who is passionate about connecting deeply with her characters and bringing them to life. Based in Brooklyn, New York, she has worked professionally in communications, interactive video design, insurance, and human resources, and she holds a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and a master's degree from Brooklyn College.
