Author Information

Rebecca Rodriguez was born in Bronx, New York and was raised in Kissimmee, Florida. At a young age, she experienced the loss of the youngest of her three older brothers. It wasn't until she was ten years old that her fourth grade teacher inspired her to write this short story. She attended the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida, and earned her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice and a certificate in Children Services. A year later, she earned her Master of Social Work degree, also from the University of Central Florida. She is currently employed as a School Social Worker in Orange County Public School System, Orlando, Florida. During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her sorority sisters of Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority Inc., and going to the movies.
