Jessica goes to visit her gran to tell her she's just losing a tooth. Jessica's gran isn't like most grannies - she's wearing a cowboy suit and practising line dancing when Jessica arrives, and on hearing the news they both celebrate with pink 'champagne' in proper champagne glasses. Then Gran tells Jessica a story she was sworn many years ago never to tell, until she has a grandchild who loses a tooth. It's all about Gran's first lost tooth, and how at four in the morning she wakes to see a tiny figure outside her window. The figure tries to fly in but bumps her head on the glass. It's a trainee tooth fairy, and she just can't help but get everything wrong, landing her and Gran in pretty deep trouble. After some adventures in Real Tooth Land, Gran solved the problem for both of them, received a shiny new penny for her tooth, and is here to tell the tale. A neat little ending reinforces Gran's story that night when Jessica waits for her own tooth fairy.
