Thus, close to the source of the Kwito rise three other rivers, two of which flow into the Atlantic by the Kwanza, Of which they are tributaries, and one into the Indian Ocean through the Zambesi. The same feature is noticeable even beyond Lake Bemba (or Bangweolo), the Congo and Zambesi as well as their effluents having their sources and mingling their streams near to the twelfth parallel of south latitude. East of the river Kwito, the Kwando, which Livingstone calls the Chobe (vol. II., pp. 195, 199, etc), takes its rise.
