Overview

The author, Anna Rains, began writing this novel in 2009 and completed it in 2024. In this book, Anna has taken a lot of her ideas from experiences of her time in Southern California, and working in banking while living there. She met some colourful people, not unlike the character RT, whom she describes in glorious detail. Once, when asked how she came up with her plots, she replied - I have lived in so many places and have done more and experienced more than most people do in three lifetimes and so it is easy to come up with a plot. She says she can see and hear the characters in her mind before committing them to paper where they just grow into real people. Banking was only one of the many jobs she has tried, and her knowledge of flying, albeit for a short time, gave her the idea of introducing the aeroplane chase. The photograph is a much younger photo of the author. Since then her life has been filled with so many experiences she is able to draw upon these to fill up her writing. Her life is laid out in detail in a biography she wrote about herself and her eccentric family. 'The Quirky Clan, a biography of an eccentric family and their unconventional lives'. It is funny and as descriptive as the plots of her books. Anna's recent book of short stories - 'Ghostly Tales and Curious Stories from England' contain one of two real stories but the rest are pure fiction culled from her extraordinary ability to dream up the twists and turns of ghostly happenings.
