Author Information

Lance W. Orndorff, MS.Ed., a US Navy veteran, was an at-risk student who dropped out of 10th grade, joined the military, earned his G.E.D. and then enjoyed nearly 20 years of full-time higher education. During his nearly 15 years of graduate studies, Lance served in the Student Services Division and the College of Education. His insights into all facets of university life include admissions, academic advising, financial aid, counseling, judicial affairs, senior learning services, and career placement. Now as an academic coach to high school and non-traditional age students, including his role as Director of the Veteran Resource Network, Lance continues to keep his thumb on the pulse of reforms, changes, advancements, and challenges within education and career services.
