Reviews

This is an outstanding contribution to the field of second language vocabulary acquisition. It is full of state-of-the-art articles by all the leading researchers and theorists in the field. This book should be recommended reading for researchers, practitioners and administrators interested in understanding how a second language vocabulary is learnt. Rob Waring, Notre Dame Seishin University, Japan The relatively young field of vocabulary studies has recently developed and widened to such an extent that a volume covering all its subdomains was badly needed. This volume brings us up to date with 35 contributions, written by among the best experts in the world, competently edited by Stuart Webb, one of the most prominent researchers in this field. There is simply no good reason not to consult this volume. Jan Hulstijn, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands
