Overview

Willie and his friends are back! Willie enjoys hanging out with Hugh, but over time he starts to notice that Hugh seems to think the world revolves around him. Why should Hugh thank someone for doing something nice for him if it was that person's choice? And when a teacher offers to help him after school, Hugh surely doesn't owe her a thank you! That's her job! Willie, counsellor, Mr. J and famed local athlete, Kendal Cobb, work together to try to help Hugh and students like him. Will Hugh be able to overcome his attitude of entitlement and develop an attitude of gratitude? Find out in the third graphic novel in the Urban Character Education series by Kip Jones

Reviews

I feel like this book covers the importance of being thankful and appreciative of the things they have and what others do for them. I can see why this book won an award. - Chuck Davis It seems that a lot of my students feel entitled to a lot of the things that we might provide in today's world. This book helps the student realize that being appreciative for things is an important aspect of life. I like the acronym that it provides and helps my children retain the principle of the lesson in this story. - Mariah S Really enjoyed how the story uses acronyms to help teach the life skill and reinforces the facts that kids face every day. - Jasmine W
