OverviewThe Nature of Man Life and Humanity tells the story of the cosmos, Sun and Earth: the evolution of mankind expanding across the continents, the tools that aided us, the cultural networks that brought us together, the spirituality that answered what we didn't understand. The nature of life on Earth requires clean air and water, fertile soil, energy and natural resources with diverse biodiversity and a stable moderate climate. An altered climate is just one component of the ecosystem changes that a growing human population has been orchestrating on Earth; air and water pollution, topsoil depletion and erosion, excessive energy and natural resource consumption and biodiversity loss are the others. Our continued survival depends on the size of our population, the quantities of natural resources we consume, our waste and how we process it, the degree to which we love and respect all life on this planet-and even ourselves, our success at passing these principles on to each generation that follows. The book concludes with answers to the questions: why we must and how we can change the way we live, how living more relevant, respectful and simple lifestyles can restore our sense of humanity and our future! Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJoseph Stadtmiller is an engineer, educator and writer who has spent much of his career developing the most relevant and simple designs of electronic products, ranging from industrial, residential heating and air conditioning controls to medical electronics. After 25 years in industry he made a career change from managing engineering, R&D and marketing groups to pass on his experience to young aspiring engineers and technicians as a professor at a local community college and by writing textbooks. In the year 2000, he published his first and most successful book titled Electronics: Project Management and Design; a textbook designed to meet the needs of electronic engineering students taking senior capstone courses. Applied Electronic Design would follow two years later followed by a novel entitled American Bases in 2008, a story about a Korean War veteran returning from the War to become an American Legion baseball coach. At that point he set out on an eight year journey, pursuing some writing ideas about nature, technology, evolution and ecology he began developing years ago. The principles of relevance, respect and simplicity had developed individually and came together over time to form the principles for how he had managed his life; but more importantly he realized they were sadly missing in today's society. The Nature of Man, Life and Humanity is the culmination of that effort. It's the amazing story about the history of man and nature, how mankind has reached this point in time, and the changes we all must make to be able to continue on.
