Author Information

Linda Leighton is a lover of words who enjoys reading and writing. She and her husband, Brad, have three adult children. As a mother and former elementary school teacher for over twenty years, her favorite activity was read-aloud. She loved the connection between reader and child, and the conversations the books lead to. After countless interactions with children over the years, Linda decided to create stories that could help children nurture their social-emotional growth. Linda is honored to have her niece, Joy Smith, as the illustrator. Joy is a talented and young emerging artist from Griswold, Iowa.
