Author Information

Jase and Judah Richardson are two inseparable peas in a pod. Born one year apart in 2010 and 2011, they are from the Greater New York area by way of their West African mom. They love exploring and finding out how things work. They love technology and games like most kids. They love telling funny stories and driving their big brother up every wall imaginable. Jase's favorite book is Cupcake by Charise Mericle Harper. Judah's favorite book, at the moment, is Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown. Iam Forde is a high school freshman and avid reader with aspirations in the fields of science and technology. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, beat boxing, and trying some new things after much convincing. His favorite book is Paulo Coehlo's The Alchemist. His most recent essay was about Black Wall Street and the targeted oppression of Blacks in the 1920's as it correlates to the present day in America. Yewande Adebayo is the proud mom of Iam, Jase, and Judah. As a Liberian and Nigerian native, education and books are inherent to who she is culturally. As a homeschooling parent, she also understands the importance of play while learning - prompting the book series as a family project. She is a serial entrepreneur and creative with a mission to do her part in the world through her startup companies, JACY BABY, Jacy Baby Press, and other ventures. She is an ultimate African foodie. She also serves as the resident referee for her active sons. Her favorite book, to date, is the Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. Currently reading, The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B. Dubois.
