Overview

In Merry England, in the time of old when good King Henry the Second ruled the land, there lived within the green glades of Sherwood Forest near Nottingham Town a famous outlaw whose name was Robin Hood. Author Information

Howard Pyle (1853-1911), a renowned artist, writer, and teacher, is best known for founding the Brandywine school of painting and for authoring The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood of Nottinghamshire. Simon Vance, a former BBC Radio presenter and newsreader, is a full-time actor who has appeared on both stage and television.
